Fred Hagaman, 76, of Ames and formerly of Boone, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.Fred was born May 23, 1949 in Boone, the son of Frank and Lois (Debner) Hagaman. He graduated from Boone High School in 1968. After graduation, Fred stayed busy as a semi-truck driver for various companies. After his time as a driver, he worked at Iowa State University and Mary Greeley Medical Center as a custodian, and at Hy-Vee as a stocker. On October 31, 1992, Fred married Kathy James in Minnesota. He was an active Moose Lodge member.Fred loved sports, both watching and participating. He played in baseball and softball leagues, managed Little League games, and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals. In his younger years, Fred ran cross country; and in his later years, he and Kathy enjoyed playing golf at Don Williams. He frequented Iowa…
