Joseph A. Shadle, age 79, of Boone passed away, Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by his family at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.Joe was born August 29, 1946, in Ogden, Iowa, the son of Vernon and Aileen (Rosen) Shadle.He worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation for 42 years. There he won over the heart of a young lady, Jane Williams. They were united in marriage at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Zearing on June 25, 1978. They made their home in Boone where they had a loving, caring family with two children.Joe was a fan of all types of racing; NASCAR, Formula One, drag, and boat. He also enjoyed attending car, gun, art and craft shows.
