Ricky D. Peyton, 66, of Quasqueton, IA, passed away suddenly in a trucking accident on Sunday, October 11, 2026, near La Crosse, WI.Ricky was born on November 24, 1959, in Independence, IA, the son of Walter D. Peyton and Donna (Joyce) Peyton. He was raised in Winthrop, IA, by his loving grandparents, Walter and Frances (Johnston) Peyton. Ricky attended East Buchanan Community Schools in Winthrop, graduating with the class of 1978. On June 7, 1980, he married his high school sweetheart, Becky R. Schommer. They made their home on a farm in rural Winthrop, where they happily raised their five children.Ricky was a devoted husband, a good dad, and a big teddy bear of a man who was simply the best with his grandchildren.
