John Ross Koch 43 of Horton Kansas formerly of Sabetha Kansas passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 1 2026 at the Amberwell Hospital in Hiawatha Kansas. He was born on June 1 1982 in Mount Pleasant Iowa the son of Ronnie Koch and Darla Dedic. John grew up in Sabetha and graduated from Bern High School in 2000. After high school he attended Southeast Community College in Milford Nebraska. John worked as a gaming commissioner for the SacNFox Nation. John was a godfather a big Iowa Hawkey Fan and enjoyed working playing video games cooking in his spare time pestering his wife and playing nerf wars with is nieces and nephews. On September 15 2018 he married Amber Hawkins in Horton Kansas. Carolyn Marie Spangler

Carolyn Marie Spangler 84 passed away at New Mark Care Center in Nashua Mo. on the afternoon of Tuesday March 31 2026. She was born in Iowa Point KS on February 10 1942 the daughter of Max and Hazel Browning Tilton. She was a 1960 graduate of Everest Highschool and afterward completed her associates degree at Highland Community College. She worked at Blair Milling Company in Atchison KS from 1972 until she moved to Kansas City MO in 1977. She then worked for Puritan Bennett Corporation as a secretary and fleet administrator until 1995 and then at New Directions Behavioral Health until her retirement in 2014. She had been a resident of New Mark Care Center since 2020. Carolyn loved music and reading especially romance novels. She was very devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren.
