Charles W. Hamilton was born on December 10, 1945, in Baxter Springs, Kansas, to Wilbur and Zephia (Potter) Hamilton. He passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 4:55 a.m. at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.Charles proudly served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. He married Zoe Cunningham on September 27, 1969.He is remembered by his children, Jimmy Hamilton and his wife, Trina, of Baxter Springs, Kansas, and Christy DeGonia and her husband, Bobby, of Joplin, Missouri. He was a proud grandfather to Jake Hamilton, Preston Hamilton, Tyler DeGonia, and Abbey DeGonia and a great-grandfather to Brylee Hamilton and Easton Hamilton. His family also includes three grand dogs: Murph, Rocky, and Buster.Charles is survived by his sister, Nancy Weddell of Quapaw, Oklahoma.
