Billy Joe Combs 84 Cadiz KY formerly of Hopkinsville KY passed away Friday August 7 2026 at his home of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 100 p.m. Tuesday August 11 2026 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Cotton officiating and Rev. Wayne Godwin assisting. Burial will follow in Fruit Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Hopkinsville KY he was born July 12 1942 the son of the late Herbert Estele Combs and the late Ella Mae Pool Combs. Billy Joe graduated from Hopkinsville High School Class of 1960. He served in the United States Army Reserves. He retired from Hopkinsville Fire Department in 1986. Next to firefighting his second love was farming which he did for 24 years. He also did masonry brick work and residential construction. Visitation will be from noon until the service hour on Saturday August 29 2026 at the funeral home. A native of Cleveland MS she was born April 22 1954 the daughter of the late Winfred Eugene Lykins and the late Myrtis Delon Jacks Lykins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Keaney Clifford and her grandson Tyler Durham.
