Alva Brickey Ison 96 of Sandy Hook KY went home to be with her Lord Friday May 15 2026 at the Elliott Nursing and Rehab Center at Sandy Hook KY. She was born July 2 1929 in Elliott County the daughter of the late Samuel Hayden and Grace Williams Brickey. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Lloyd Ison a daughter Carolyn Sue Epperhart her siblings Alma Peyton Johnie Brickey Elsie Skaggs as well as a son law Clarence Adkins and sisterin law Ava Brickey. Mrs. Ison was the true definition of Matriarch and Virtuous Woman. She was always to there to love counsel comfort and pray for her family and others. She was her families greatest cheerleader and they were her pride and joy. She worked as a cook and a pharmacy tech to aide her husband in raising their family. She is survived…
