Robert Bob L. Mulcahy 94 of Henderson Kentucky passed away on Thursday February 12 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville Indiana following a brief illness. Born in Lexington Kentucky on July 29 1931 he was the son of the late Virgil and Lula Mulcahy. Bob enjoyed a distinguished and wideranging career in basketball as both a player and a coach. He played high school basketball at Lexington Lafayette High School under Hall of Fame coach Ralph Carlisle. As a junior in 1949 his Lafayette team finished as Kentucky High School State Runnerup to Owensboro High School and their standout player Cliff Hagan. In 1950 Bob led Lafayette to the Kentucky High School Championship earning First Team AllState honors and receiving the highest number of votes for the Kentucky AllStar team which competed against the Indiana and Ohio AllStars.
