Robert "Bob" William Hayes 95 of McKinney passed away on Thursday February 12 2026. Born in Wapella Illinois on February 4 1931 he was the son of the late William Rufus and Delphia Harper Hayes. In addition to his parents Bob was also preceded in death by a son Brett Douglas Hayes. Bob was a postal carrier for 37 years in Hustonville. He also worked for the Department of Agriculture and was a lifelong farmer. He loved hunting fishing collecting geodes and just being outdoors. Bob was a United States Marines Veteran. Bob is survived by his wife of 71 years DeLaine Adams Hayes of McKinney sons David Gladys Hayes of Nicholasville and Bruce Dolly Hayes of McKinney brother Bill Tita Hayes of Stanford grandchildren Lisa Fight of Waynesburg Kevin Hayes of Stanford and Adam Spring Hayes of Stanford and 5 greatgrandchildren.
