January 14 1968 he married Barbara Rigney Guinn of Waynesburg KY. They were blessed with 3 children. Janet Vanhook of Stanford Melissa Ison Kelly of Nicholasville and Sandra Curlis Brandon of Stanford. Roy proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force before retiring. His service continued at Camp Nelson National Cemetery for the next 26 years until he retired. After retirement Roy enjoyed trips to Tennessee with Barbara. Especially in the fall so they could enjoy the changing leaves. They enjoyed visiting Dollywood when they could hear good Southern Gospel music especially quartets. He loved working with his hands and building things. He loved family cookouts and get togethers making his family and friends laugh with his great story telling. He was a founding member Sunday school teacher and deacon at Freedom Baptist Church where he served God as he felt called. His love for God his family…

Tommie Juanita Allen Nolan 84 of Eubank passed away Saturday October 10 2026 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Pulaski County Kentucky on Friday February 20 1942 to the late Thomas Allen and Luvirda Bullock Nolan. She was the widow of the late Frank Nolan whom she married on Saturday May 18 1957 and preceded her in death Sunday February 25 2007. Juanita was a homemaker who still found time to pursue occupations outside the home. She worked for American Emblem Tool Co. Black Decker for three years worked for Square D for three years and worked at the Parkette DriveIn in Lexington Kentucky. Most of all though she helped her husband Frank run the sawmill.
