Jackie Cook Swann passed away on August 9 2026. Born on October 241936 to Paul and Bonnie Cook Swann Jackie grew up on the family farm in Cross Plains TN. He married Billie Gwynn Allen Nov. 23 1955 in Springfield TN. They soon moved to Clarksville TN where Jackie began work with MetLife in 1961 and retired after more than thirty years of service to the company. He also served in the Army Reserve in Artillery for fourteen years. Jackie was a lifelong football fanatic umpiring for 50 years. He started officiating elementary student games moving into high school officiating and then to the college level in the Ohio Valley Conference. He was a lifelong dedicated director of the Tennessee Kentucky Threshermens Association which holds the annual Threshermens Steam Engine Show in Adams TN. George Thomas McPherson was born on September 6 1929 in the front room of his grandparents house on a farm in Youngville TN. His parents lived their faith loved their family worked diligently and valued education. Tommy learned leadership and responsibility as the oldest of four children on the family farm. She loved being outdoors riding horses and helping her dad. Through all of this she learned grit and value of hard work. Evelyn married Mac Baggett Sr. in 1974 where she worked alongside her husband to establish the family business in agriculture and build a legacy that continues today. She did everything from bookkeeping running the grain elevator inside and outside cooking delivering meals to the field all with kids in tow.
