Steven E. Steve Murphy husband of Kathy J. Burton Murphy also known as Murf by his close friends age 62 of Harrodsburg KY died Monday August 17 2026 at UK Medical Center in Lexington KY. Born September 9 1963 in Eglin Airforce Base Fort Walton Beach FL to Nancy M. Austin Murphy and the late Daniel E. Murphy. He spent majority of his working life at Hitachi then he started a mowing business building and repairing decks working at Shaker Village and being a caregiver for his daughter. Most would call him a Jack of ALL Trades. Steve enjoyed cooking especially grilling out and was an avid UK football fan. In his younger years he had season tickets and rarely missed a game.
