She was born March 26, 1963, in Ohio County, KY, daughter of the late Anna Daugherty Adams and Jackie Dale Williams.For 28 years, Lora happily worked at Ohio County High School where she found a second family. She taught special education, biology, and anatomy and served as curriculum coordinator. Lora retired in 2018 to spend more time with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandson Barrett.A lifelong learner, Lora loved science. In college, one of her experiments on roundworms was selected to be on the Space Shuttle Challenger. She was known for her beautiful gardens and her keen knowledge of birds. Rev. Gerald Harcourt Baker, 69, of Bowling Green, died Saturday, May 16, 2026 at his home following a brief illness. He was born on January 25, 1957 in Erie, Pennsylvania, and he was one of seven children of the late Alan L. Baker and the late Jeanne O. Baker. Gerald was a 1974 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania. He and his family moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1974. He received his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in music. While a WKU student, he converted to Catholicism after becoming involved at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Newman Center on WKU’s campus. He became a Roman Catholic in 1975.
