Willie E Staten, Jr., 82, of Bowling Green passed away July 1, 2026 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.The Warren County native was born August 31, 1943 to the late Willie Staten, Sr. and Fannie Elizabeth Jones Staten. He was a member and attended Southside Baptist Church and retired from production at Holley Carburetor.Survivors include his wife, Shirley Lewis Staten; son, Scott Staten; daughter, Robin Minton (Jeff); grandchildren, Matthew Spinks, Chelsea Minton, Alecia Minton, and Jacob Staten; and six great-grandchildren.Per Willie’s wishes, cremation was chosen with later inurnment in Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery on Clarence Odell Road. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapels has been entrusted with arrangements.

Tommy Lay, age 65, died at his residence on June 29, 2026. He was born to the late Claude and Susie Vincent Lay. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Claude Lay Jr, Dillard Lay, Emery Lay, Rayburn Lay, David Lay, Alton “Sam” Lay, Derick Lay and Stanley Lay. Gary Elwood Ehling, age 79, of Alvaton, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.Gary was born August 13, 1946, in Columba, KY, to the late George Drewett Ehling, Jr., and the late Lucy Eris Ballou Ehling. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Vance.He is survived by his family, Barbara Ehling, Jeff Vincent, and Jeremy Vincent, Brenda Vance and Brian Vance.Gary was a United States Air Force Veteran and was proud to have served his country. Gary graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in social work. After graduation, he became a security guard for a correctional facility.
