Born in Williamsburg on January 16, 1930, to the late Roscoe and Lina Meadors, Roy was self-employed in the construction industry before his retirement. Brenda Gayle Sutton, age 67, passed away to go to her heavenly home on July 2, 2026, at her earthly home in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born on August 26, 1958, in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Arthur Evans and Melvina (Harris) Evans Davis. Brenda’s spiritual birth took place in 1971 at the age of 13 when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Brenda married her best friend Roy Sutton on Wednesday September 3, 1975, on the second floor of the old Creekmore and Son store in Jellico, TN. Alma Irene Wilson, 90, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away on July 3, 2026. Alma was born on March 29, 1936, in Williamsburg, KY, USA to the late Elmer and Marie (Smith) Cox. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Wilson for over 60 years, and is survived by her son, Roger Wilson and wife Pam of Williamsburg, KY, her grandson, Josh Wilson of Williamsburg, KY, her sisters Caroline Ball of Beulah Heights, KY and Beverly Hughes (Bill) of Knoxville, TN, and several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends who will mourn her passing.Alma dedicated her life to the noble profession of teaching, starting her career in a one-room schoolhouse in Piney Grove School and retiring after more than 32 years of service from the Whitley County Board of Education at Pleasant View Elementary School.
