Graveside services for William Robert Schoonover will be Tuesday February 17 2026 at 12 noon in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Larry Passley officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home Bunkie. Mr. William Robert Schoonover age 78 of Evergreen passed away on Thursday February 12 2026 at his residence. He was a dedicated US Army veteran. Bill lived a life marked by bravery resilience and service to his country. Known for his unwavering commitment to his duty and his deep compassion for others Bill was a beacon of strength to his family friends and fellow service members. Bill enlisted in the Army in 1966 enlisting in Columbus Ohio. He spent five years in active duty three of them being in Vietnam.
