Holsomback Jr. passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 82, at his home in Pineville, Louisiana.He was born on October 11, 1943, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Ruby and Jewel Holsomback and grew up in Pineville. Jimmy was a graduate of Pineville High School and Louisiana College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting.Jimmy had a deep love for his hometown of Pineville and for the people who called it home. He loved contributing his time and expertise to his community and finding ways to make things better. This was especially evident during his years with the Rapides Parish Library System, where he played an important role in improving the library system and helping open new branches.
