Known for her gentle spirit and her steadfast prayer life she was a pillar of strength to those around her. Whether in the hills of Mississippi or the heart of Acadiana Charlottes life was rooted deeply in her Christian values and an unconditional love for her family. He is survived by his life companion Angie Broussard of Maurice Louisiana her daughters Emily Broussard Richard and her husband Sean Richard and Anna Seither and her partner Alex Lirette all of Lafayette. He experienced so much joy and complete silliness with his grandsons Finn and Jonah. When they were babies their favorite place for a nap was on his chest. He will be remembered as a freestyle gardener with a green thumb a dog and cat whisperer foodie lover of Hallmark Christmas movies chief dishwasher and versatile handyman. Van died in the comfort of his home with Angie by his side and the compassionate care of Heart of Hospice Care.
