Iris Mae Bourg Morvant, 77, born May 29,1948, a native of Gray, Louisiana and resident of Chackbay and Thibodaux, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.She is survived by her son, Carl Morvant (Kristi); daughter, Kristy Chiasson (Brian Evans); granddaughter, Brenna Gary (Brad); grandsons, Bryce Chiasson (Olivia), Robbie Kincy (Renee), Dustin Kincy (Kelsey), Bryce Evans; great grandchildren, Kiley, Parker, Karter, Ellie and Luke; brother, Harry Bourg (Louise); sister, Sherry Edwards (Charles); Godchildren, Tammy, Warren, Melissa, and Marissa; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Morvant; her parents, Maurice Bourg and Edesse Brock Bourg. Iris will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Godmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed showing her love by cooking and baking especially her delicious chili, tea cookies, fudge, pralines, Fa’, and Choupic patties. She loved everyone…
