Phillipina Kandi Flowers Bishop age 72 passed away peacefully on January 12 2026 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 13 in Buffalo New York Phillipina later made New Orleans her beloved home where she lived for more than 30 years and became a cherished unforgettable presence in the community she deeply loved. A former student of Howard University she studied Communications and Theater a perfect reflection of her expressive artistic and joyous nature. Phillipina loved to dance and sing filling every space with music movement and laughter. Her radiant personality and passion for entertainment even led to her being recognized as an honorary member of Parliament with George Clintona fitting tribute to her vibrant and unforgettable spirit.
