Carroll Pelletier 76 passed away peacefully on July 21 2026 leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories with his family and friends. Born in Fort Kent Maine Carroll was the beloved son of the late Alberie and Laura Michaud Pelletier. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann with whom he shared many happy years. Carroll was a hardworking man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed farming with his brother Dave and family also working with tractors and taking on projects of all kinds. Whether he was fixing something tending the land or lending a hand Carroll was happiest when he was busy and surrounded by the things he loved. Richard Cyr 81 died peacefully August 12 2026 in Presque Isle at a health facility. He was born May 7 1945 in St. David Maine to Edgar Cecile Dumond Cyr. Richard graduated from Madawaska High School. After brief employment at Fraser Papers in 1966 he was drafted to the US Army where he served as a cook at the 97th General Hospital in Germany. He was honorably discharged as a Specialist 4 in 1968. He returned to Madawaska and opened the Long Bar. In 1977 he opened Papas Mamas Hamburg stand at Brookside Stables. In 1982 he moved into the house he was born in and opened Dicks Grocery Snack Bar where he worked until retirement in 2004. He was well known for homemade beans and bread along with his burgers. Antoine "Tony" Paradis 85 passed away peacefully on August 7 2026 at Ridgewood Estates Assisted Living Facility surrounded by his family. He was born on January 9 1941 in Frenchville Maine the sonof Rene and Exelia Paradis. Throughout his life Tony was an active member of many organizations in his community. He was a member of American Legion Post 145 in Frenchville for more than 60 years where he held numerous leadership positions and helped lead many community activities. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus the Catholic Order of Foresters and the local ATV club. In his spare time Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Bernette Hniedziejko

Bernette Carolyn Michaud Hniedziejko was born on May 4 1947 the eldest of eleven children born to Norman and Cecilia Michaud of St. Agatha Maine. She graduated from St. Agatha High School in 1965. Seeking employment opportunities she moved to Hartford CT where she began her professional journey as a secretary. Bernette is predeceased by her husband James Hniedziejko. Together they started their family and later relocated to Torrington CT. There she spent many years working at the Torrington Company where her dedication and drive led her to obtain a metallurgists license enabling her to work as a machinist specializing in fusing gold plating to base metals. She continued her career at Brunswick Golf Manufacturing Company and was a proud and active member of the machinists union.
