It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Sharon Blanchard Kimball. She was 73 years old. Sharon was born in Gardiner ME on October 13th. Sharon spent her lifetime in service to others. As a special education teacher for nearly 40 years she helped countless children reach their full potential. In her second career she helped facilitate grants and charities that combated food insecurity in Maine. Sharons creative spirit shone through her love of crafting whether it was woodworking quilting or stained glass. With imagination skill and caring hands she could turn simple materials into something beautiful and meaningful. The things she made were more than crafts they were expressions of her heart created to bring joy comfort and happiness to others. Her life was a beautiful example of what it means to give to teach to create and to love. Though she will be…
