West Bath Michael T. Drake 52 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 9 2026 at his residence. Michael was born in Honolulu Hawaii on January 8 1974 the son of Cary and Nila Gay Warner Drake. In 1992 he graduated from Morse High School in Bath. Michael began lobster fishing at the age of 13 continuing until retiring from that in 2023. At the age of 15 he was a junior firefighter with West Bath Fire Department. On March 3 1992 he became a member of the WBFD. He was also a member of the Bath call force and on April 16 1993 he rescued an 18 month old baby from a structure fire in Bath. In 1996 he was employed at Bath Fire Department for over 25 years as a firefighterparamedic retiring in October of 2021. Michael was employed with the Town of Harpswell as a per diem firefighter…
