On October 10 2026 Joseph Joe Smith passed away peacefully at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to the late Anna Smith Devoted father of Michelle McCracken Will and Mike Smith Chrissy Cherished grandfather of William Connor Ari Nate Austin Michael and Anna Dear brother of Jimmy and Mary and the late John and Rose. Joe had a long career with Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation. After retiring he was appointed as a Liquor Board Inspector and went on to serve as Chief Inspector of the Liquor Board. He was an active member and dedicated volunteer of the Roland Terrace Democratic Club. Joe was an avid fan of the Orioles and Ravens loved a good Western and enjoyed playing shuffleboard.
