Shirley Lorraine Mills 91 of Lanham Maryland passed away peacefully on Saturday August 15 2026 at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born September 27 1934 in Saco Maine Shirley was the daughter of the late John Otis Guiney and Harriet Bell Guiney. She graduated from Portland High School before moving to Virginia where she began her career working at the Pentagon. After marrying and settling in Maryland Shirley continued her career with the U.S. Government Printing Office where she worked as a bookkeeper for 30 years. Shirley was the devoted wife of the late Robert Perry Mills Sr. who passed away on April 22 2023. Together they shared 67 years of marriage and built a life centered around their family and the many memories they created together. She was also preceded in death by her halfsister Betty Hevener.
