Maria Julia Alpoim Correia 91 of Fall River widow of Serafim L. Correia passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 11 2026 surrounded by her family and so much love. Maria was predeceased by her beloved canine companion Peanut. She was born in Fontoura Valena do Minho Portugal daughter of the late Antonio de Caldas Alpoim and Aurora Maria Pereira. Maria bravely emigrated to the United States in 1975 in search of a better life for her family. She worked for many years at both Fall River Nursing Home and Whaling Manufacturing. She was a strong woman of faith and a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church. Maria valued family hard work and caring for others. She was the quintessential Vav helping to raise her grandchildren Sandra Mario Jr. Nicole and Joshua and her greatgranddaughter Brianna with care and love.
