Gang Xu a loving husband father son brother and friend to many others passed away on Tuesday May 12 2026 in Sharon MA at age 51. Although he battled with graft versus host disease for years and ended up with severe pulmonary fibrosis he never lost his courage humor and consideration for others. When he passed he left a gaping hole in his family. Gang was born on April 17th 1975 in Hami Xinjiang China. He grew up in a warm and joyful home deeply cherished as the youngest brother to his five older sisters. He attended Peking University where he formed many lifelong friendships. He came to the US in 1999 and received a PhD in bioinformatics in 2005 from Boston University. Gang worked as a data scientist in the PC Insurance industry and will be remembered for his professional commitment genuine compassion impactful mentorship and inspiring leadership. During…
