Born in Boston Barbara grew up in Braintree a community that remained an important part of her life. She was a graduate of Braintree High School and went on to attend Chandler School for Women in Boston. Barbara was a loving mother and a good friend who always made herself available whenever she was needed. She was a hardworking independent woman who believed in giving of herself to others. She worked for many years at South Shore Hospital and later became the manager at Eye Health Services in Quincy. Even after retirement she continued to work part time always finding purpose in staying active. Barbara cared deeply about people and quietly made a difference in in the lives of many. Joseph Calabro

Joseph Calabro of Hingham formerly of Quincy passed away peacefully on August 13th 2026 at the age of 95. Born in Boston he was raised and educated in Dorchester. He attended Boston Technical High graduating class of 1948. Joseph was a Korean War Air Force veteran serving his country from 19511955. After military service Joseph enrolled in the Wentworth Institute class of 1958 where he studied building construction. He worked in construction from 19581965. Following his career in construction he worked at the South Postal Annex for the United States Postal Service and retired with 30 years of service in 1995. Joseph was the son of the late Constantino and Rose Deluca Calabro. He is survived by his 1st cousin Edward DeLuca and his family.
