Grace Ann Brauher, age 101, of Middleton, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the University of Michigan- Sparrow Hospital, Carson City.She was born February 27, 1925, and was lovingly adopted by David and Sarah (Stauffer) Yordy. She grew up in the Ashley area and married the love of her life, Maynard Brauher, on February 12, 1944, in Middleton. Together they had 3 children: Gary Russell, Patricia Sue, and Carole Lou. They shared 46 years together, until Maynard’s passing in June of 1990. She was a homemaker when the children were young and later began working for Wolverine Worldwide. She was a long time member of the New Haven Church of the Brethren where she was a Sunday School Teacher.Grace enjoyed baking, working on puzzles, and being with her family. Bruce D. Liscombe

Bruce Dean Liscombe, age 72, of Crystal, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, surrounded by his family.He was born on March 19, 1954, in Carson City, the son of L. Dean and Janice (Thomas) Liscombe. He graduated from Carson City High School in 1972 and then went to Western Michigan University. In 1974 Bruce joined the US Army and proudly served 21 years, retiring in 1995. He was stationed in several places within the US and Germany, however his favorite of which was Alaska. On April 11, 1981, Bruce married Julie Austin; together they happily welcomed 2 children: Joshua and Merissa.After retiring from the US Army, Bruce worked for GM and retired from there in 2009. He was a life member of the VFW and American Legion Post 182 in Hubbardston. Bruce also took his retirement as an opportunity to attempt to learn to play the ukulele and harmonica……

Judith Ann (Vallender) Hall, 83, of Riverdale, died peacefully at her home in Riverdale on May 14, 2026 from a long battle with dementia and Hodgkin's Lymphoma.She was born on July 2, 1942 in Gladwin, Michigan, the second of twelve children to Donald and Ella (Seltz) Vallender. Growing up in Beaverton as the oldest daughter, she was busy caring for younger siblings and helping the family. After graduating from Beaverton High School, she headed to Michigan State University to study education.Having graduated from MSU, she joined the Peace Corps in 1964 where she met her future husband Jim. Journals tell the story of Jim getting sweet for Judy! They were selected to serve in Ethiopia and asked to be placed together.
