Arnie Edward Besonen age 81 of Port Austin Michigan passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday morning April 2 2026. He was born on May 17 1944 in Lansing Michigan to Arne Kathleen Puumala Besonen. He was 100 Finnish and made sure everyone knew itwas raised on a farm in the UP and graduated from Trout Creek HS. He went on to play football at Northern Michigan University where he met then married his wife Nadene Riehl on August 27 1966. He earned a Masters in Education from CMU as he began teaching and coaching in Deckerville before he made his name as a teacher and allsport coach for 30 years at OwendaleGagetown HS. He was a past president of the MHSAAFCA coached the East team in the HS AllStar Football game received multiple Coach of the Year awards and was inducted into the MHSAA Football…

Marian Joy Dykman age 81 of Fremont went to be with her Lord and Savior late Wednesday evening April 1 2026. She was born on April 28 1944 in Fremont Michigan to Harold August Geraldine Bernice Rice Johnson. Joy had been employed by Gerber Life for 15 years until her retirement and she was a member of First Baptist Church in Fremont. She loved gardening being outside and traveling. Joy had also volunteered in the Gift Shop at Gerber Hospital and at the Community Closet. She is survived by 3 children Kurt Dykman of Muskegon Shelley Brock Wolford of Fremont Melanie Glenn Gustman of Fremont 9 grandchildren 4 greatgrandchildren 3 brothers Dan Beth Johnson Steve Beth Johnson Mike Caryn Johnson and by several nieces nephews.
