age 87 of Sandusky Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday August 23 2026. William was born on November 30 1938 in Detroit Michigan to the late Ivy Elizabeth Anne CrawfordFranzel. A few years later Elizabeth married Sylvester Franzel Bills stepfather and purchased a farm in Snover Michigan. To his friends he was known as Bill but toward the end of his life he preferred to be called William stating that people have too many bills and he didnt want to add another one to their troubles. This was so characteristic of his sense of humor. He was quick with a joke telling jokes to his nurses up to the end. William loved his family and delighted in their many family international travels.
