Catherine Ann Pejza, 91, of Lawton, formerly of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026 in Kalamazoo. She was born on September 30, 1935 in Freeport, MI to Wesley Stowe and Edith (Gallup) Maur.The family will receive guests from 10am until time of celebration of life service at 11am, Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Decatur Bible Church, 80797 M-51, Decatur with Pastor Ben Williamson officiating. Burial will take place at 2pm, Friday, October 16, 2026 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Middleville, MI. Memorial contributions may be given to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, www.t2t.org or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.Catherine lived a quiet and simple life, finding joy in the things that mattered most to her. Throughout her life, she worked many different jobs, but perhaps the most meaningful was bartending at the VFW, where she met her second husband.
