Earl LeRoy Meece 92 of Houghton Lake passed away on Thursday May 14 2026 at home with loving family by his side. Earl was born on April 9 1934 in Detroit Michigan to Denzel and Dorothy Gibson Meece. He grew up and attended school in the Detroit area. On July 25 1953 in Belleville Earl was married to Rosie Stella Phillips. Earl worked as a Welder Repair person for Ford Motor Company for many years until his retirement. He was a 32nd degree Mason Shriner Order of Eastern Star and Order of the White Shrine. Earl enjoyed fishing hunting and especially working in his yard. His special love was spending time with his wife of 72 years Rosie and hooking up to the camper and go traveling.
