Mass of Christian Burial will be 1100 a.m. Thursday August 6 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment with military honors will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. St.Jude.org Roger was born on January 21 1935 in Mankato to Albert and Jenny Schnobrich Mayer. He attended Holy Rosary Elementary School. Roger was a proud graduate of Mankato Loyola High School while also working part time at Hagen Hardware. In their early years Dean and Janice enjoyed dancing and roller skating. Janice loved to bake and she had an endless audience ready to gobble up everything she prepared. She enjoyed traveling line dancing reading and spending time with her family and friends. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Evelyn Henrietta Bauer was born with a song in her heart on January 4th 1927 in Rice County Minnesota. As a young child Evelyn taught herself to play piano on an instrument that had been nearly destroyed in a fire but still had working keys. Evelyns mother taught her to read notes using the only music they had availablea church hymnal. Evelyn loved to practice and was allowed to skip daily chores in exchange for playing the piano.
