Richard Alvin Riel age 92 of Walker MN passed away March 30th 2026 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo ND. He was born September 8th 1933 to George and Viola Riendeau Riel. Richard was born in Lambert Township MN and attended school in Oklee where he graduated. He joined the United States Air Force in December of 1952. He went to basic training where he was trained in electronics. He was honorably discharged in November 1953 and went to work for Wilcox in Red Lake Falls MN as an electronics technician. It was there that he met his future wife Beverly Burstad. From this union four children were born Denise Correen Terrance and Lance. He later moved to East Grand Forks MN working for Goodmans in Grand Forks ND as an electronics technician. He was later approached by General Electric to install and maintain their nontactical radio system on Grand…

Kenneth Robert Johnson Sr. age 81 of Cass Lake Minnesota began his journey to the spirit world on March 30th 2026 from Sandstone Healthcare Center Sandstone MN. He was born to William and Eva Hurd Johnson on November 7 1944 in Old Agency MN At 18 Ken joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky to begin his training as a paratrooper in 1963 and later served in the 101st Screaming Eagles Division. After being honorably discharged from the US Army Ken owned and operated a Ojibwe Taxi Service for 25 years. He loved nothing more than driving people around it gave him a deep feeling of being part of the community. He was a graduate of the Leech Lake Tribal College in 2000 with a degree in Environmental Studies. Ken loved him some Taco Bell and a nice cold Pepsi watching old country westerns…
