John Jack Richard Lloyd age 89 of Laporte MN passed away peacefully on Thursday February 19 2026 at Birchview Gardens in Walker. Jack was born on June 1 1936 in Rochester MN the son of John and Leone Christenson Lloyd. He was briefly raised on a farm in Rochester before the family moved to NE Minneapolis where Jack would graduate from Edison High School in 1955. Shortly after graduation Jack enlisted in the United States Army and served until 1958. During his service he was stationed in Germany with the Third Armored Division. When Jack returned home he joined the Carpenters Apprenticeship and worked for many years before he was injured on the job which left him unable to work with his tools so he then turned his attention to becoming Superintendent and management for construction. He held this position until his retirement in 2001. Following retirement Jack moved up…
