Steven Paul Serich 66 of Calumet died Tuesday August 4 2026 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 15 1959 in Grand Rapids Minnesota to Joseph and Maryann Grozdanich Serich. Steve was a lifelong resident of Calumet and he worked hard his whole life. His career began with his dad and brothers at Serich and Sons Car Crushing followed by DMIR Railroad. He later became coowner and operator of T S Car Crushing. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He said the last job he had with Bougalis Sons was the best job of his life. Spook and April were united in Marriage on May 10 1986 in Hibbing Minnesota and were together for over 46 years. Rosalie was a 1959 Greenway High School graduate attended Itasca Community College and received her bachelors degree in elementary education from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Rosalie taught in Minnesota Colorado and Michigan and lived most of her life in Itasca County. Rosalie and Jerald Mackey were married on April 19 1980 in Wabana. Her parents Joseph A. and Mary M. Mark Carney was born on July 18 1951 in Philadelphia PA to Joseph and Mary Carney and went home to be with the Lord on July 29 2026 in his home surrounded by his family. Mark was raised in South Minneapolis attending Visitation Catholic Grade School and graduating from Washburn High School in 1969. He then attended the University of Minnesota Minneapolis from 1969 to 1973. Following in his fathers footsteps Mark pursued a career in television and retired after 45 dedicated years at KMSPTV.
