Sharone Patricia Rustad (Aug), 64, of Fountain, died Saturday, October 10th, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle against cancer.Sharone was born November 13th, 1961, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Conrad & Dixie (Strahl) Aug. She grew up in Preston and attended Preston High School, graduating in 1980. She was a beautiful singer and was part of the school choir, madrigal choir, and cheerleading team. After high school, she went to Winona State University for some time before attending the Mayo Clinic Nursing Program in Rochester and graduating as an LPN. She also entered beauty pageants and won Miss Rochester, and was in the top 10 finishers for Miss Minnesota. She sang The Rose by Bette Midler for her pageants, and it became her signature song. Dewey Fetterly, age 91, of Wykoff, MN died October 10, 2026 at his home.He was born September 15, 1935 to Elden and Della (Henke) Fetterly in Preston, MN and attended country school in Forestville before attending and graduating from Wykoff High School in 1953. Dewey attended the University of MN for Forestry before enlisting in the United States Army in March of 1955.Dewey was united in marriage to Loretta Bossart on January 2, 1955. They were later divorced. After his discharge from the Army, Dewey worked for Ace Truck in Rochester before going to work for IBM in Rochester in 1960. He worked there until his retirement. Dewey enjoyed collecting Crystals and Arrowheads and was very active in playing and coaching softball for the local 4-H and church groups. He also enjoyed attending and taking part in Rendezvous throughout the midwest.He is survived by 2 sons; Terry Fetterly (Sandy Becker)…

Carol Jeanette Kostohryz, 79, of Cresco, passed away on October 8, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with cancer.Carol was born on April 10, 1947, at Floyd County Hospital in Charles City, Iowa, to Walter and Shirley (Schultz) Meier. She attended country school near Saratoga, Iowa, through seventh grade before attending Riceville High School, graduating in May 1966. Carol married Don Vrba Sr., and their marriage was blessed with five children. Following their divorce, she married David Kostohryz on August 30, 1986, at Holy Trinity Church in Protivin, Iowa.Carol worked at Sara Lee in New Hampton for six years before beginning a 29-year career at Stanley Engineered Fastening in Decorah, where she remained until retirement. She also enjoyed helping her husband and son on the farm.In retirement, Carol embraced the simple joys of country living. She loved driving around the…
