Thalia Kathleen Duffield, age 88, passed away at her home in Northfield on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Thalia was born on August 31, 1938, in Browns Valley, MN, the daughter of Ward and Wenita (Weeks) Duffield. Thalia attended Macallaster College as well as the Abbott Nursing Program to become a nurse.Thalia worked as a nurse for 45 years, primarily in surgery.When Thalia was young her dad converted a school bus into a camper that fit the entire family. They traveled all over the country. After experiencing the wonder of camping she brought her kids on camping trips to Isle Royal, Door County Wisconsin, northern Minnesota, the Black Hills and Yellowstone National Park. These camping trips with family must have ignited Thalia’s love of travel. She spent a summer in Europe after nursing training. Also, other trips with sisters and her kids, cruising and Disney World. Sheryl Lee Adams (Boettcher) of Waseca, age 69, passed away on October 10, 2026 at home peacefully, with her family by her side, after a long, courageous battle with brain cancer.The celebration of life will take place at their home in Waseca on Sunday, October 18th, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.Born August 19, 1957, in Robbinsdale, MN, to Bruce and Marvel Boettcher. She grew up in the Matawan area and graduated from New Richland in 1975. After graduation, she started at Birds Eye Foods in Waseca and worked in several roles. She spent 29 years there. She then went to Itron and spent 12 years in management before retiring. Sheryl married the love of her life, Merle Adams, in Waseca in 1982.Sheryl loved spending time in her garden, tending to her beautiful flowers.
