Carolyn G. Imhof nee Thom was born on December 10 1934 in Minneapolis MN and passed away peacefully at home on March 30 2026 surrounded by family. Carolyn had several nicknames she was known as "Pudge" to her family because she was a bit rotund as an infant. In college she was known as "Carrie" and her husband called her "Carol." She was the second of three children born to Wenzel and Frances Thom. At age three the family moved to New Ulm MN. When she turned seven the family moved to Wichita KS where her father had accepted a job with Beech Aircraft. Carolyn was a 1956 graduate of the College of St Catherine with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught in Minneapolis and Milwaukee WI. She met Otto Imhof on a blind date. We lost our mother grandmother great grandmother aunt cousin and friend in the earliest moments of March 31 2026. Her name was Mary and there were several different versions as to why she didnt use that name but everyone knew her as Bonnie. It did cause some confusion in certain legal systems that she would insist on using a name that wasnt legally hers but she was stubborn and she sailed her ship the way she wanted to. Bonnie gave meaning to the phrase short but feisty. She had to be as she raised six sons and two daughters. Bonnie was a staunch defender of the rights of women and people less fortunate to have opportunity in this world and pushed her children to pursue whatever passions they had. She was preceded in death by her parents Rosemary and Kenneth Heimbach and her brother Kenneth Heimbach Jr. Carol is survived by her husband of 64 years William H. Queenan her four children Anne Bob Beacher Sheila Mark Farmer Shannon Jeff Hansen and Danny Katie Queenan fifteen grandchildren eleven greatgrandchildren and her sisters Mamie Gary Fabel and Susan Duane Ostlund Heimbach.
