Jason Cranford, 70, of Quitman, Mississippi passed away on February 13, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 7, 1955 to Raymond and Daisy (Dew) Cranford in Valdosta, GA. At age 20, he married the love of his life, Sissy, and they enjoyed a beautiful life together for 51 years. A dedicated, hard-working man, Ray spent 30 years working for Rowan Drilling Company. Through those years he gained many life-long friends and had many oil field stories to tell. In his retirement years, Ray enjoyed woodworking, rebuilding cars, morning coffee with his breakfast club, being “Pops” to his grandsons, and playing with his beloved Doberman, Ziva. Ray will be remembered as a generous man who was always there for his family and friends.
