She was born June 22 1936 in Slate Springs Mississippi to Pearl Morris Grubb and Ralph Edward Grubb. She was raised in Friars Point Mississippi where she graduated from high school. After high school she lived in Louisiana for several years before returning to her beloved Friars Point where she spent most of her life. She was a devoted Christian. As a single mother she firmly believed that God had the perfect plan to carry her and her daughter Kate through any obstacleand He did.
