Ernest "Ernie" Calvin Foley age 71 passed away peacefully at his home in the Cotton Plant community of Tippah County Mississippi on June 18 2026 following a courageous battle with chronic health conditions. A special outdoor memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Lake Arrowhead in Myrtle Mississippi on July 18 2026 at 1000.Ripley Funeral and Cremation has been pivotal in helping with arrangements. Born in New Albany Mississippi on February 16 1955 Ernie was the third son of the late Herbert Glynn Foley and Mary Jane Courtney Foley. As an infant he relocated with his family to Memphis Tennessee where he spent his youth and early adulthood. While his brothers gravitated toward sports Ernie possessed a deep passion for academics and literature from an early age.
