Carolyn June Gables died peacefully at home on March 30 2026 surrounded by her husband and family after a lengthy illness. Carolyn was born in the front bedroom of her parents home in rural Aldrich Missouri the second daughter of Paul and Marie Toalson. Her entire youth was spent in Polk County where her father was a farmer and mother worked in the town grocery sharing the small farmhouse with her parents and three sisters Jacque Pauletta and Kay. As teenagers Carolyn Pauletta and Kay were active in music as a vocal trio featured throughout Southwest Missouri in church services and community festivals as the Toalson Sisters. At one point a recording of theirs was entertained as a potential new act for the Lawrence Welk show. Barbara Sue Bruton

Barbara Sue Bruton daughter of Marvin and Olive Pinegar Smith was born in Red Top Missouri on July 19 1937 and passed away on March 31 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield Mo. She was united in marriage to Cecil Junior Bruton on April 26 1958 and to this union two sons were born Dennis and Michael. Barbara was a licensed beautician for many years and retired from the Strafford School System after twenty plus years of service. Barbara was proud to be a born again Christian and she loved going to High Street Baptist Church where she was a member for over 60 years. She also loved gardening sewing cooking and spending time with her family and her family loved spending time with her and will miss her greatly.
