Neil William Reed 77 of Owensville Missouri passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 18 2026 at BarnesJewish Hospital in St. Louis. Neil was born September 11 1948 in Ringwood Victoria Australia to Edwin and Gwendolyn Cudlip Reed. From his early years in Australia to the life he eventually built in Missouri Neils journey was one filled with curiosity adventure stories and an appreciation for the world and the people around him. Neil proudly served in the Australian Army before finding his calling in journalism. A natural storyteller with a keen interest in people and current events he spent many years working as a journalist and eventually owned and operated his own newspaper in Australia. His love of writing and keeping informed never left him. He enjoyed following current affairs and could often be found engaged in a conversation about what was happening in the world. McGee Jimmy or Unc 86 of Gerald Mo. passed away Wed. Aug. 5 2026 at his residence in Gerald. In his earlier days Jimmy was a cabinetmaker and known as a Master Craftsman. He could draw paint build or carve anything. In retirement he enjoyed the quiet life taking care of animals gardening and hunting. He served his country proudly in the US Army.
