He was a natural athlete and a fierce competitor earning titles as a Golden Glove Boxing Champion and a Tough Man Contest winner. He also famously showcased his agility by winning the greased pig contest at the Moniteau County Fair. Petes zest for life was best seen in the outdoors and at the track.
