Michael Mike Lee Bruce 76 departed this life after a lengthy illness on May 16 2026 at his home outside Nevada Mo. Mike was born July 19 1949 in Nevada the son of Chester Lee and Nola Maxine Johnston Bruce. He graduated from Walker High School in 1967 and School of the Ozarks in 1971. He married Connie Lee Zimmerman on May 23 1970 in Weaubleau Mo. Together they had three children Michael Micky Lee Bruce Jr. David Lee Bruce and Melinda Mindy Lee Bruce. Mike grew up helping his dad on the family farm outside of Walker Mo. He loved farm life and always wanted to raise his family on a farm which he did. After graduating college from School of the Ozarks Mike worked at Mark Twain School District teaching seventh and eighth grade and served as principal. Timothy Charles Hogle age 66 Milo MO passed away on Thursday May 14 2026 at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City KS following a lengthy illness. He was born on September 28 1959 in Flint Michigan to Richard William and Judith Ann Brown Hogle. Timothy married Melody Ann Compton on April 6 1999 in Camdenton Missouri. She survives of the home. Timothy was raised in Flint Michigan. He graduated from high school in Flint then attended DeVry Institute in Kansas City MO. Timothy came back to Missouri from California in 1988 and worked for Sprint in Kansas City for 26 years retiring in 2015. He and Melody moved to Milo in 2024. Dolly Galus 81 died on May 16 2026 at her home in Nevada. Dolly was born Delores Dias Mendes in New Bedford MA on January 5 1945 to Antonio Dias and Patricia Almeida Mendes. She married Joseph Galus Jr. on July 22 1967 in New Bedford and they moved to Nevada with their children in 1979. Dolly spent more than 30 years providing home daycare and was a loving "Grandma Dolly" to dozens of children. Her home was full of toys and her lap was a comfortable place to cuddle and nap. Dolly was also a wellknown character in town who could dish it out as well as she could take it. Gerald Lee Jerry Holcomb 82 of Nevada passed away early Wednesday morning on May 13 2026 at the MooreFew Care Center in Nevada following a brief illness. Jerry was born on November 27 1943 in Lansing MI to Howard and Lucille Poland Holcomb. Jerry grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1961. Following High School Jerry worked as a cook at the bowling alley and also the White Grill in Nevada. He later worked as a lime spreader for C S Fertilizer before going to work for the Union Pacific Railroad retiring in 1993. Following his retirement he worked an additional 15 years driving a truck for the Amish community. He was a Lifetime member of Nevada Elks Lodge 564 and longtime of the Nevada Eagles Lodge 3770. William Alvin Bill Good 93 Nevada MO passed away on Monday May 11 2026 at home with his family by his side following a brief illness. Bill was born January 26 1933 in Merwin MO to Ralph Russell and Hayden Frances Williamson Good. He married Donna Louise Stainbrook on September 27 1953 at the Stainbrook family farm and she survives of the home. Bill grew up in Mound City KS and graduated from Mound City High School with the Class of 1951. Following high school he went into the US Navy where he served four years and was stationed throughout the South Pacific spending time in Guam the Philippines and in Japan aboard the USS Magoffin. He returned home in 1955 and began working for the MO Pacific Railroad which later became the Union Pacific in radio maintenance where he worked until his retirement in 1993 as a communication technician.…
