Ronald David Barks 85 of Poplar Bluff MO passed away Saturday June 27 2026 at his residence. He was born in Neelyville MO August 27 1940 to parents Norman C. and Sarah E. Joiner Barks. A proud patriot Ron honorably served his country in the United States Army for twelve years attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his military career he completed three tours of duty in Vietnam demonstrating courage dedication and a steadfast commitment to those with whom he served. Following his honorable discharge from the Army Ron spent many years as an overtheroad truck driver a career that reflected his independent spirit and strong work ethic. Ron married Lareda Jo Byers on November 25 1983. They created many cherished memories over the years. Ron found great joy in the outdoors and enjoyed spending his free time fishing target practicing and searching for historical artifacts with his metal…
