Debbie Russell of Garryowen Montana died early morning of August 7 2026 at Intermountain Health Hospital in Billings MT from pancreatic cancer. She was born in Crow Agency MT on October 30 1965 to Gary Horse Capture and Patricia Jean Flying. Debbie met her husband Scott while attending Montana State University Bozeman in the fall of 1983 at the age of 17. Their friendship evolved into a marriage that would last 42 years and produced sons Scott Dannon and Devan Jariel and her daughters Shania Cody Meeks and Lefaye Russell. Growing up Debbie lived with her parents in Bakersfield California and Montana. She started her education in Ashland Elementary and Lame Deer Public School eventually graduating with high honors from St. Labre Catholic High School. Patricia Ann Anderson 87 of Hardin Montana passed away on August 5 2026 at Big Horn Hospital. Pat will be remembered for her kind heart beautiful eyes welcoming smile and deep love for her family friends and community. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Pat was born on November 11 1938 in Ainsworth Nebraska to Herbert and Cleora Schrieber. During her sophomore year of high school her family moved to Bassett Nebraska where she met the love of her life Ardell Anderson. They were married on August 16 1958 and shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. Together they welcomed their two children Jeana and Jeffrey. The family settled in Crow Agency Montana where Pat worked as a secretary at Crow Agency Public School for 13 years. Vinh Thi Weisser a longtime Hardin resident passed away from natural causes on August 9 2026 at the age of 90 in Merced CA with her daughter nearby. She was born February 7 1936 to Tu Cong Vu and Vien Thi Do in Hanoi Vietnam. She met her true love Floyd Weisser in Vietnam and married him there in Saigon in 1972. On May 12 1975 the couple moved to Hardin Montana. Floyd worked at Sarpy Creek Mine for many years until his retirement. He took good care of Vinh and treated her like a queen. Together they raised their daughter Anh Weisser. Vinh was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters. Douglas Arthur Jessen breathed his first breath on April 2 1948 and his last on August 12 2026. Born in Helena Montana he never knew his biological parents. Arthur and Donna Jessen adopted him and took them into their home and raised him in Fort Peck Montana. He spent his summers with his maternal grandparents Scotty and Christine Findley in Sunburst Montana. As a child he loved mischief. He hopped a freight train to see a movie in Glasgow with a friend at nine or ten years old and he once captured a skunk in a pail and asked a local bartender if he wanted to buy it. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1967. Like many men of his generation he served his country in uniform beginning in 1969.
