Funeral services for Alan Lemke, age 83, of Bloomfield, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. October 24, 2026, at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Reverend Brian Lemcke will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery.Visitation will be October 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.Brockhaus Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.Alan died Sunday, October 11, 2026.

In keeping with Carls wishes he will be cremated and the immediate family will be honoring his life with a small private celebration of life. Carl Edward Mellor son of Edgar and Halie Pierson Mellor was born February 7 1936 in Hollywood California. He grew up in Gem Kansas and received his bachelors degree in Physics from Kansas University. On June 19 1982 Carl married Geraldine Hartwig Ruoff. After marrying Carl and Geraldine resided in Wakefield and most recently in Norfolk Nebraska. He farmed land in Wakefield Nebraska and in Kansas. As a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk he delivered Meals on Wheels to those in need and was a member of the Braille Committee. Carl is survived by his stepchildren Ingrid Morgan Renae Conner and Kurt Ruoff and four grandchildren Danielle Birzer Courtney Morgan Connor Morgan and Jesse Ruoff.
